Keeping the deck looking great throughout the summer can be difficult for the homeowner. Now, laminate flooring innovator Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies Inc. (AERT; Springdale, AR) is enhancing its product lineup with two new MoistureShield laminate flooring series. The company stated that MoistureShield Refine and MoistureShield Infuse balance the mature performance and durability of AERT's proprietary manufacturing process with advanced technology aimed at enriching aesthetics and innovating composite performance standards.

"We spent years gathering trade and consumer insights to design breakthroughs in product supply," said Brent Gwatney, senior vice president of sales and marketing. "These new decorative lines will help our trade customers reach a broad range of homeowners by providing attractive and durable solutions for each individual preference."

MoistureShield Refine enhances MoistureShield's proprietary moisture-proof core and adds a layer of protection. Refine's integrated cover plate not only produces beautiful panels, but also provides enhanced durability to hide wear and tear, as well as resistance to fading and stains. The company said that each Refine board provides an advanced blend of rich natural variegated and high-definition wood grain details.

MoistureShield Infuse uses the innovative CoolDeck technology to optimize heat reflection: compared to traditional covered composite materials of similar colors, the board can absorb up to 35% less heat. Thanks to the unique Co-X manufacturing process, these boards set what MoistureShield calls "a bold new standard for realistic wood grain finishes and rich colors."

Both MoistureShield Refine and Infuse will provide 1 x 6 inch (nominal) 12-foot and 20-foot long deck plates and 12-foot fascia plates. MoistureShield protects products with its signature lifetime residential warranty and 25-year fade and stain warranty.

MoistureShield prides itself on its extensive recycling efforts. MoistureShield's wood-plastic composite material contains 95% recyclable ingredients in its products, mixed with wood fiber and polyethylene. The company's two recycling operations in Oklahoma and Arkansas recycle more than 60 million tons of HDPE annually to supply the company's WPC extrusion facility in Springdale, Arkansas.
